"The Outagamie Waupaca Library System (OWLS) is a federation of the public libraries in Outagamie and Waupaca counties located in Wisconsin. Each member library is completely autonomous, funded and governed locally, but contracts with OWLS for the purpose of coordinating and strengthening services. OWLS does not ordinarily provide direct library service; instead, it serves patrons through their local library.

In the past, when an OWLSnet service (Internet Access, InfoSoup Card Catalog, eMail...) went down, the OWLS Staff found it difficult to keep the libraries informed about the problem. As the tech coordinator I have different grades of students coming in and out of the lab. I needed a way to be able to control their desktops during teachable time and then to be able to monitor what they were doing during their assignment time. Net Support has provided us with both those options.

The greatest value that we receive is the ability to manage/monitor all student computers from a centralized location. This allows for us to have more students on the computers at a time than previously. Because we a school for “At Risk Youth” our policy is that students will be monitored at all times while on the computer. We were limited to 30 students in the lab at a time. Now we can use all 50 pcs and monitor from one location.
